HOW DID “HAPPY MOON” COME ABOUT?

Back in the early 1990’s I lived in Kusadasi, Turkey, for 6 months and worked in leather store in the tourist business in a bazar. The store was owned by some of my friends. The country’s varied beauty, incredible ancient history, culture and its friendly people had a great impact on me in the years to come. Years later, when I started writing, I was looking for a way to put my lovely experiences to paper.

Then, in 2004 and 2005 I travelled around in Morocco on a holiday, another country that had always fascinated me with its intense beauty, history and friendly inhabitants as it was introduced to me by an acquaintance. I truly loved my time there and when I met a friend of a friend during my travels, we became very close as she loved the place was fascinated by it as much as I did.
So, when I decided that I was going to write Happy Moon, the challenge I faced was to find a way to combine the two countries and to find a suitable link between them. I finally managed this and Happy Moon was created!
